The Royal Hotel, Ventnor hosted their fifth Gala Dinner, raising a massive £55,000 for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust.
165 supporters of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust enjoyed a delicious four course dinner, followed by a lively auction with a last minute addition from The Little Gloster, Mark King and Rob da Bank taking center stage, which on its own raised a staggering £7,600. The captivating Edana Minghella and her band then entertained guests until the early hours.
The Royal Hotel was very generously donated in its entirety for the evening – guests stayed overnight in return for a donation to the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. Local businesses got involved by donating items for the auction, produce for the meal and/or their time, to ensure guests had a great evening. This generosity ensures that all of the money raised on the night reaches the children and young people that The Youth Trust supports.
Eileen Monks OBE, Director at the Isle of Wight Youth Trust commented, “We are overwhelmed by the continued support of The Royal Hotel. The delicious food, stunning setting and fantastic staff at the hotel ensures that this event is always a highlight in the calendar. We would also like to thank the generosity of the donors and obviously the guests on the night, who always dig deep to support us – thank you.”
The date for this year’s event is already in the diary – Saturday 29 November, tickets are selling fast, please contact Hannah Charlesworth at The Royal to book.
