On Saturday the 21st of January 2017 women’s marches were taking place all around the world; America, Australia, Ireland, Kenya, Germany, Brazil, India, France, Netherlands, Spain, Canada, Argentina, Ghana, Serbia, Greece, Czech Republic, Italy, Antarctica, here in England, and many more. Millions of women joined together to march for women’s rights, for human rights. Here in the Style office, although we didn’t make it to a march ourselves, we couldn’t help but feel moved and empowered by the; stories, images, and sheer number of women, children, men and dogs that marched for us.
Today, a week on we’re looking for ways to keep the momentum of that day going. As a result we have put together a list of ‘Go get ’em girl’ songs, and a list of 10 films that beautifully show the diversity and power of women.
Lets start with the ‘Rise Up’ playlist – perfect for in the shower, driving, to psych you up for that meeting, to dance around with your kids, and to set you up for that girls night out!
